Fortresses in the Nether

Fortresses are where blaze rods come from, and the main place for nether wart, which you need for brewing potions and for the trip to the End. Nether wart can also turn up in bastions. Knowing where they are cuts the search to one trip.

Questions

Are these Nether or Overworld coordinates?

The map shows Nether coordinates. Multiply by 8 to find the matching Overworld spot, or use the Nether portal calculator.

What are bastions?

Bastion remnants came in 1.16. They hold gold, piglin brutes and a lot of loot, and generate in the same regions as fortresses.

How do I get to one fast?

Build a portal near the matching Overworld coordinates, then travel across the Nether roof or by tunnel.
