Why use a seed map for the deep dark
An ancient city sits deep and has no landmark on the surface. The coordinates on the map tell you exactly where to dig.
Questions
Which versions have ancient cities?
Ancient cities arrived in Minecraft 1.19. Pick 1.19 or newer in the version box, older versions have none.
How deep are they?
Around the deepest layers of the overworld, near layer -51. Dig down at the marker or look for a deep dark cave.
Is it dangerous?
Yes. Wardens guard the city. Sneak, avoid sculk sensors and bring a plan to leave quickly.
