Is this Minecraft server online?
Check any Java or Bedrock server in a second: online or not, players, version and the message of the day.
What a server status check tells you
A status check does what the multiplayer screen does: it asks the server for its name, version, player count and message of the day. If it answers, the server is online and reachable from the internet; if it does not, something between you and the server is wrong.
The usual reasons are a stopped server, a wrong address or port, a firewall or router that is not passing traffic, or a server that is asleep. The crash log analyzer can help when the server itself will not start.
Questions
Why does it say offline when I can join?
The check runs from outside your network, so it only sees what the internet sees. If the server is on a home connection without a forwarded port, friends outside cannot reach it either. A server that sleeps to save memory, like the free ones on Saryno, can also answer "offline" until the first player wakes it.
Does it work for Bedrock?
Yes. Pick Bedrock above. Bedrock servers use port 19132 by default, so you do not need to type it.
What does the player list show?
Only what the server chooses to share. Many servers hide names and show just the count.
Is my address stored?
No. The address goes from your browser to the public status service mcsrvstat.us, which does the check. Saryno does not see or keep it.
