What a network gives you
A network is a proxy in front of several servers. Players join the proxy and are moved between servers with a command or a menu, without disconnecting. Each server keeps its own world, plugins and size, so a minigame server does not slow down your survival world.
- One address for the whole network
- Servers can have different versions, plugins and memory
- The default server is where players land first
- A broken minigame does not take the survival world down with it
How Saryno does it
Open Infrastructure, then Build a network. Drag a line from each of your servers to the proxy, pick the one players join first, and save. Saryno writes the Velocity settings, the shared secret and the Paper settings for you, and checks that every server is linked.
- A visual builder, or a simple list if you prefer
- Servers that are asleep wake up when a player is sent to them
- Servers only accept players that came through the proxy, so nobody can skip it
- Players can join with Java or, with Geyser, Bedrock
When to use one
A single server is simpler. Move to a network when one server cannot hold everything: a big survival world plus a lobby plus minigames, or when you want a separate server for events. The hub at play.saryno.com shows what a network feels like.
Questions
What is Velocity?
A modern, fast Minecraft proxy. It is the successor of BungeeCord for most new networks.
Does a network cost more?
You pay for the memory of each server. The proxy itself is small, about half a gigabyte.
Can I add servers later?
Yes. Press Add This Server on any server's Network tab, or edit the network and drag a new line.
